Jenny Selent, MA, LMFT
Director of Business and Program Development
Jenny Selent is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. She received her Master of Science from Western Michigan University. Jenny lived and worked in Utah and North Carolina over the past 13 years, but she is thrilled to be back in her home state. She says it brings her closer to family and allows her to progress mental health treatment in Michigan.
Jenny has been doing clinical work and developing residential treatment programs for youth with co-occurring disorders since 2007. Most recently as Executive Clinical Director at Solstice East RTC. She is drawn toward healing and the development of systems. This includes academic, mental health, professional, and family systems. She works to improve the overall health, fulfillment, and effectiveness of these systems and the individuals within them.
Jenny has specific training in EMDR (Eye-movement desensitization and reprocessing), Brainspotting, and Trauma-focused Equine Assisted Psychotherapy. She also has a decade of experience in developing therapeutic programs for co-occurring disorders.
Jenny has three “incredible” children. Her family are big outdoor adventurers. Biking, paddle boarding, hiking, camping, etc., and they are also hobby farmers.
Jenny says, “The Sanford organization has a big vision and big heart for the people of Michigan. I am so excited to bring the skills I have developed over the past 13 years back to my home state. And to join the Sanford team in their vision of raising the standard for substance use and mental health treatment in Michigan. They speak to me with their progressive, person-centered approach.”
