Katrina Terkeurst, RD
Registered Dietitian, Sanford Comprehensive Treatment for Eating Disorders
Katrina Terkeurst earned a bachelor’s degree in dietetics from Michigan State University, with a specialization in health promotion. She is passionate about Intuitive Eating and Health at Every Size.
Katrina has been a registered dietitian for the past fifteen years. During her dietetic internship, she was fortunate to receive training at the OSF Saint Francis Medical Center Eating Disorders Program in Peoria, Illinois, it was there that she fell in love with eating disorder treatment. Since completing her registered dietitian credentials, Katrina has worked with eating disorder clients at both Forest View Hospital and Comprehensive Treatment for Eating Disorders (now Sanford CTED). She also works part time with patients receiving kidney dialysis.
Katrina loves learning about everything food! However, Katrina feels that our culture has overlooked the importance of having a healthy relationship with food. This relationship impacts so many parts of our lives and has the ability to greatly enhance or detract from quality of life. In her work, Katrina provides nutrition education and works with individuals to understand and heal their relationship with food.
Katrina is married to her high school sweetheart, and they have two amazing daughters! The family enjoys camping and traveling, especially visiting national parks! In her spare time, Katrina also enjoys gardening, reading, yoga, and spending time outside.
Katrina says, “I believe that in order to be healthy, you must first have a healthy relationship with food and your body.”
