Lynnel Brewster, RN, LPC, LLMFT, CCTP, AcuDetox Specialist
Lynnel Brewster has been working in the health field for the past 24 years. She is a registered nurse as well as a licensed professional counselor. Lynnel’s years of experience include working in hospital and home settings, residential addiction treatment centers, and private practice. And for nine years she served as Director of Congregational Care, developing a lay-person counseling ministry.
Lynnel received her Master’s Degree in Counseling from Geneva College in Pennsylvania. And her RN from Sewickley Valley School of Nursing. Lynnel also has her limited license in marriage and family therapy. She is a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional. Lynnel has years of experience counseling groups, families, and individuals with substance use disorders. As Clinical Director, she works with both Sanford clinical and medical staff, administering all aspects of group and individual therapy. This includes residential treatment, day programs, outpatient programs, and our newest offering – virtual care.
Lynnel monitors Sanford intakes, assessments, and insurance concurrent reviews. And serves as clinical liaison between all Sanford departments, providing clear guidelines and communication. Lynnel also administers auricular acupuncture sessions!
In her free time, Lynnel loves to read, cook and spend time with family, especially with her grandchildren.

And my desire is to provide a safe place for our clients and their families to grow in their recovery and healing.”
